Emma and Kip
A few weeks back, I had the absolute pleasure of marrying two very rad people – Em and Kip. This duo radiates with such obvious affection for each other and they certainly brought this effortless energy, warmth and lightness to their ceremony. The ‘secret garden-esque’ setting of the Burnley Gardens provided the perfect backdrop to share the story of Em and Kip. Guests laughed as we recounted memories of their first encounter at a seedy nightclub in Koh Samui and chuckled knowingly at tales of Kip’s awkward first attempts at impressing Emma. The story of Kip’s perfect proposal in Hobart drew plenty of laughs and a few tears (happy tears!) too. Em and Kip chose to write their own vows and exchanged them with a perfect mix of spontaneous humour, tenderness and sentiment. Every little element of the day, from the chalkboard signage, to the roped posies of blooms dotted amongst the trees, to the stylishly STUNNING attire of the bride and groom oozed cool– think vintage glamour meets whimsy charm.
What a pleasure it was to be involved in such a perfect afternoon, canopied in so much love, laughter and joy. How ace are these photos from Tony Evans Photography? He certainly captured the day in all its candid perfection.
Thanks Em and Kip – love your work!
